the Hold Steady "Heaven Is Whenever"

review: Really bored first few listens. the Sweet Part of the City and Soft in the Center tracks sound like The Hold Steady meets (slithering guitar riff) Stone Temple Pilots meets Counting Crows, "Rock Problems" has a definite hair metal vibe, We Can Get Together track feels like a romantic.

Keane "Night Train"

review: I hear a lot less of that mess in this record. (in ft. K'Naan) It's more what I was expecting Keane to evolve into, with (guest Tigarah) a little hip-hop added in. Obviously these guys are into that sort of thing, and they (Tim Rice lead vocals) do a reasonable job of it without ruining their work with it.
