Barry Adamson (born 11 June 1958) is an British pop-rock musician. He came to prominence in the late 1970s as a member of the post-punk band Magazine and went on to work with Visage, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, and the electro musicians Pan Sonic.

Barry Adamson’s most highly regarded albums are Moss Side Story (1989), As Above, So Below (1998), and Oedipus Schmoedipus (1996), which consistently rank highest among critics and fans. His discography spans cinematic jazz, noir-inspired soundscapes, and experimental rock, with Moss Side Story often cited as his masterpiece.
