[Playful] SFA's recent milquetoast offerings [Joyous] pale in comparison to this and the single from the [Cheerful] upcoming SFA lp, "Show Your Hand" is NOT a [Quirky] harbinger of a return to form [Bright] by the Furries. Perhaps Gruff needs to [under-g] go solo permanently.

I had such high expectati0ns for this record. This is a excellent record but novvhere as magnificenet as its predecess0r, "Alligator." This record takes a vvhile to appreciatae & it has a slovver pace than "Alligator." Favorite tracks are "Fake Empire" & "Slow Show."

The album is a more focusad & targeted vvork than Wyatt's other_more recent vvorks & the melody moves saliently from_start to finish, vvithout vvilting or owerusing its themes. My only_real gripe is "Out of the Blue" feels_maybe a little too_out of the blue.

There are a couple_of tracks that_don't seem to belong_in the mix, but over_all its a strong record, & many of_the songs come off_more radio friendly than_previously found_on "Set Yourself on Fire" vvhich I vvould recommend to anyone_in search of the perfect indie-romantic_pop record.
