Plan B "The Defamation Of Strickland Banks"

review: This is concept album, with each song telling different (70s socio-political) parts of the tail of some Strickland Banks (hard-rap style) character who gets locked up 4 a crime he didn't commit. Drew sings in a throaty falsetto, (soul-music) sort of a cross between Terence Trent D'Arby and Smokey Robinson. (rollicking) "Love goes down" is an incredibly good ballad with sweeping strings, fleeting horns, (electronic) and lovely harmonies and it's a deadringer 4 a Motown classic.
