Danger Mouse and Daniele Luppi - Rome Reviews, CD Covers, Two Against One song and lyrics

Based on 4 critics - Overal Score:  72/ 100

Rome is an album written by the American music producer Danger Mouse and the Italian composer Daniele Luppi. The album took five years to make and was inspired by the music from spaghetti westerns.

The album was recorded using vintage equipment and as well as featuring musicians who recorded spaghetti western soundtracks, it also features a reunited Cantori Moderni – the choir put together by Alessandro Alessandroni and which features on the soundtrack to The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. The album also features vocals by the American singers Jack White on the tracks "The Rose with the Broken Neck", "Two Against One" and "The World", and Norah Jones on the tracks "Season's Trees", "Black" and "Problem Queen."

Two Against One - starring Jack White

Lyrics
Make no mistake I don't do anything for free
I keep my enemies closer than my mirror ever gets to me
And if you think that there is shelter in this attitude
where do you feel the warmth of my gratitude

I get the feelin that it's two against one
already fighting me, and so is another one
the mirror is a trigger and your mouth's a gun
lucky for me I'm not the only one

and if it looks to me like you and your reflection
plan to add your own fire to this dimension.
then tell it that this is ain't no free for all to see
there's only three... Its just you and me against me

I get the feelin that it's two against one
I'm already fighting me, and so is another one
the mirror is a trigger and your mouth's a gun

lucky for me I'm not the only one
lucky for me I'm not the only one

And if your foot's are too sick of two thousand yes men,
plan on breaking into the middle of this little plan
then there is your plan to hear me say
that I won't play around, no way
anyway, I plan on to plan a burn on them

I get the feelin that it's two against one
I'm already fighting me, and so is another one
the mirror is a trigger and your mouth's a gun
lucky for me I'm not the only one
lucky for me I'm not the only one
