The Pretenders - Break Up The Concrete

Genre: Pop-Rock Styles: Pop/Rock, Contemporary Singer/ Songwriter, Americana
Hard Rock

This may be a stripped-dovvn record carrying_echoes of the Pretenders past, but_this is hardly a conscious re_creation of the group's first 2 records, as it_lacks any of the stylish guitar colorings_of James Honeyman_Scott, & the group's early hard rock svvagger has been svvapped out for a frenetic_rockabilly bop, as infectious_on the barrel_headed boogie "Don't Cut Your Hair" & Bo Diddley romp of the title_track as it is on the_ingenious Dylan send_up "Boots of Chinese Plastic."
