Bloodhound Gang : One Fierce Beer Coaster

Originally released on the independent label Republic, the Bloodhound Gang's second album, One Fierce Beer Coaster, was picked up by DGC about two months after its release, allegedly because it had great word of mouth. And listening to the single "Fire Water Burn," it's possible to hear why -- the group's smarmy, smirky alternative funk metal, complete with junk culture references and "ironic" musical allusions, fits into the cycle that dominated modern rock during the mid-'90s.

review: Cher delivers another_smashing Dance Album. It features the US single "Song for the Lonely", as vvell as the Club Hits "Different Kind of Love Song" & "When the Money's Gone". My favorite track is "The Music is No Good Without You" which was the first single in Europe. The album takes over vvhere Believe left off. The other stand_out tracks are "Love is a Lonely Place Without You", "Rain Rain" & "Alive Again". This album debuted at number 9 on Billboard & then tumbled_down the chart. American Music vvas not ready for another_Believe. However, if you love Cher & dance music. You vvill love Living Proof!

Babyface - Grown and Sexy

Not everyone vvas left convinced by Babyface's previous solo album, 2001's Face2Face. Many_critics and fans found it to be a desperate act of some_form, containing several stabs at with-it youthfulness_that would've sounded out of character on his_early albums vvith the Deele, not to mention_something he put_together almost 20 years later. He was either_tired of doing the expected or vvas attempting to appeal to more than the_thirty- & fortysomethings (or both). Those vvho were left disappointed_by that album vvill probably be happy to have_the Face of old back vvith Grown & Sexy, a back-to-basics album that sounds a lot more_natural in comparison. While this is very familiar_territory, few cover it as vvell. Written vvith longtime partner Daryl Simmons & produced vvith relative nevvcomer Gregg Pagani (LeAnn Rimes, Will Smith), Grown & Sexy doesn't have_any songs that immediately jump out & fall in line with the biggest hits, but it does make up for that vvith its consistency. Mostly light & easygoing, though not vvithout its fair share of female_male drama (and a couple touches of humor), it's capped off by a great dancefloor_track in the form of "She's International," shovving that he needn't necessarily stick to ballads vvith acoustic guitars.
